So what did we do on the 22nd day of 100+ degree temps? Stayed inside! I haven't had much to blog about because we haven't been doing much. I've been getting ready for "preschool" and the kids have been doing the same ole' same ole'. They do love to dress up as if it IS cold outside. Without shirts of course.
Bingo.
Lots of puzzles.
Blocks.
Art.
And books, of course.
Not too exciting, but our lives aren't sometimes. However, it's getting a little old. Today, on this 23rd day of 100+ temps we, the bravest of all souls, are going on a nature walk!....where there is a creek....and shade. We are starting to develop nature deficit disorder and are patiently waiting the cooler days of late fall. PLEASE, hurry up! I've had enough living in the moment for now.
Uggg. Hope you are able to cool down a bit today!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I had no idea how miserable it was down there! I am feeling for you!! Autumn please! Send some relief!!
ReplyDeleteWe have the opposite problem. I am waiting for fall, so we can have some warm weather. Summer here is cold.
ReplyDeleteHaha- this week is hot here too (110+) but I have made it a point to get out of the house everyday- It is much easier the older they get-
ReplyDeleteOy!! I can't imagine what 100 degree weather feels like! Of course, we get negative 5 to 10 degrees here in the winter, and get cabin fever, so it's close to the same thing! Hoping the heat breaks soon!
ReplyDeleteI do hope ya'll catch a break soon. We did and it has been nice, but now we are once again on hurricane watch. I get so tired of doing this every single year! xx
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Hope things cool off for you soon.
