Just kidding. I was going to wait until I had made diapers and clothes for the dolls I'm making, but the first one turned out so great I just couldn't help but share. I have been laughing at this doll for a good 30 minutes. It has really made my day. I hesitate to say it is from Handmade Beginnings because I don't think Anna Maria Horner would want me representing her work in this way. Well here it is!

It looks good, kind of sea animal-esque. :)
ReplyDeletewell you know that's what i was going for! i'm changing the pic now that the girls have put her in the crib :-)
ReplyDeleteI could make a mermaid! my daughter would love that :-)
ReplyDeleteHey, it is made with love and the kids usually don't care. My daughter really likes all the weird wonky animals (well, horses) that I have made for her, even though they don't always look like the animal they are suppose to be.
ReplyDeleteAnd they almost always get better with practice :)
I hope they don't get better! I love this doll. It makes me laugh every time I just look at it. I'm calling her Feel Good Fannie. I'm thinking I should make them and take them to sick people or something. It would brighten their day!
ReplyDeleteoh my....have I got a blanket for her!!
ReplyDeleteFUnny but still so cute. Bet it would look just right with a cute little dress. :)
ReplyDeleteFeel Good Fannie is perfect!
