Yarn Along

This morning I am knitting, writing, and reading for my soul and my sanity. Yesterday was not the best day I ever had and I even wrote a post about it titled "Venting." However, I deleted the post figuring that people would not want to hear me throw myself a pity party when I have such a full life with so much to be thankful for. So I'm working on the hat I've been knitting for about five years, reading Walden again, and venting to my kids in the journal in which I write to them. Well, I'm feeling better already and I'm sure I'll feel doubly better once my house is clean and organized. I'm on a mission to put toys and books far far away until a future time when they will be novel and more appreciated. Hope y'all have a great day! Check out others or post your own Yarn Along over at Small Things.

  5. Today is a new day. Sometimes we just have to vent. I am with you on putting things up so they are appreciated. Knitting and reading Walden is good for the soul, as is processing those feelings in writing. I think you would like Buddhism for Mothers. It talks about the same things. We moms need some nurturing!

  6. I hope the rest of your week is awesome! I had a bad day yesterday too. Well, Jake had a bad day which can kind of make my day bad too because when he's really stressed out, it stresses me out. I hate how that happens.

  7. Hope the knitting and reading help things to feel better. I like the idea of rotating toys around as well. Our number four likes emptying toys out of receptacles instead of actually playing with them. So only a few books in the book basket and so on. She does pick them up all on her own so I cant really complain.

  8. Oh. Vent away. I have a couple of posts like that in draft. Probably best mine stay there!

I'm decluttering some of their toys at the moment. The children are accepting it surprisingly well. Helps that they are "baby toys" in their eyes.

  11. It's good to vent; much better than keeping it all bottled up inside. I always remind myself that today may have been bad, but it's over and I never have to live that day again. Tomorrow is always a new day. :)
