Thursday Farm Day

I have decided that every other Thursday will be Farm Day. The day when we buy our raw dairy, pick our own whatever, and buy local produce at various farms.

Today we went to pick strawberries. The farm had other produce they grow for sale as well.

After picking strawberries we headed over to the dairy farm. I am lucky that I live on the outskirts of town and very close to a lot of farms that provide us with what we need.

My kids, Eaden especially, LOVE the farm dogs.

Today we spent $56 on dairy and $15 on the produce. This dairy will need to last us 2 weeks. I am hoping that we can pull a $150 a week budget. We shall see.

Our path on the cure for eczema is going VERY well! Naia's skin is very much improved and Tavens is slowly improving. His behavior is drastically different. He will come up to me, hug me and say "I love you Mom." Sometimes he comes up, taps me on the shoulder, and says "I like you." He is becoming very sweet. A new child emerging with the new and nourishing food. I will post soon with new pictures of their skin!

I am so very happy.

  1. Hooray for the eczema help! Is gluten the only restriction?
I recently read that chammomile can also help eczema. Maybe worth looking into?

  2. Oh how lucky to be picking strawberries already. We still have to wait two more months for that. They looks so delicious.

  3. I am so glad that the dietary changes are leading to positive benefits for your kiddos- that's wonderful! And I am so jealous of all of that produce, especially the berries. We're so ready for fresh fruits and veggies here, but the weather will have to get out of the 20-50 range for a while before that will happen.
