Our FREE Weekend

We had a lot of fun this past weekend and we didn't spend a dime! I get a little bit sick to my stomach when I see parents buying their kids crap ALL OF THE TIME. Even if you have money, why must you always buy everything!!!!? Their kids just learn to ask, ask, ask, constantly, ask, ask, ask...for every single thing they think they want. It's annoying!

Anyway, here is what we did.

We played water balloon baseball.

 Examined our celery experiment.

 Made play-dough.

 And mini ecosystems.

 With working volcanoes!

 And port-a-potties!

Floated boats when it started to rain.

And went inside to make ziplines for legoman when it started getting late.

  3. Love this post! Money is so tight for us and although I sometimes feel guilty that we I can't often buy things for the kids, deep down I know that the best fun we have is playing outdoors and doesn't cost a bean. Since we moved to our new house, we are a few minutes walk from the town which has so many second hand shops, this is dangerous, it is far too tempting to peek in them every time we go out and then end up spedning money - will have to try hard to resist the temptation!

I love the great games you played, Tarka often leaves Lego men hanging from various bits of string around the house...all of my kids would love water balloon baseball...will have to to try that very soon...
