Eaden had her first sewing lesson this past week. I read about making cloth napkins on Rhythm of the Home a while back and thought it would be a great first project for the kids. It was!
We gave some away as Easter/Spring gifts.
And we had plenty left over for the kitchen table.
Can she work the pedal too? They look great.
ReplyDeleteyes! although the chair was a little high. she also sews quite straight :-) no iron for her yet though.
DeleteWhat a great idea! I love that you gave some as Easter gifts.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful x x
ReplyDeletewhat lovely material! she did a great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a gorgeous idea! And what a great job she did too :-) Love your fabric. I might make some too x
ReplyDeletewhat a great thing to teach! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI was her age when I learned to machine-sew and I loved making cloth napkins! Great idea for affordable and cute gifts! Love your fabrics, and her focused expression.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics you all picked out! She has the same "seriously focused" expression my son gets when he is busy with a task...too cute! Thanks for sharing on the Spring Carnival!
ReplyDeleteI love your cloth napkins. My son is learning to use the sewing machine and made a small pillow for his toys. I think we need to refresh our napkin selection!
ReplyDeleteWe love cloth napkins, too. But, I have to say I've never been so fancy as to sew in my leotard!
ReplyDeleteOh, they are so pretty! I have always wanted to try this, and I know my kids would enjoy it! Time to get out the sewing machine...
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely gift idea and they look great! Thanks so much for sharing this with our Spring Carnival. :) I featured your post here: http://sunnydaytodaymama.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/all-year-round-week-eight-7-spring.html
