Saturday was Taven's birthday (he's 2!) and next Monday is Eaden's birthday (she'll be 5!). We decided to celebrate by taking a camping trip to Brazos Bend State Park this weekend. Here are a few (yes this really is only a few) of the pictures. I'm quite sad that I didn't get more of Taven and that the ones I did get kind of suck. My husband brought him around 3 on Saturday and they left that night. Next time, I promise to Taven that he can camp overnight with us. Sorry bud.
Oh Wow! Alligators! :-) I had to show my children these photos! They were so impressed! We love to go camping, but we get excited seeing a Duck in a pond! ;-) They've only had the chance to see "rescued Alligators" in captivity. How amazing to see them like this. Sounds like a lovely weekend!

Many Happy Birthday wishes to your littles! They are beautiful and I love the cute hairstyles. Alligators-galore whoa. Wait you camped too? Here I am freaking about camping on a beach this summer and you are camping. You inspire me. I should shut up my fretting. ;)
ReplyDeletei had never used an air mattress while camping until this weekend. pregnancy was the excuse and, i must say, it was very comfortable.
Deletefun! happy birthday to your sweet kids!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that Taven was so close in age to Gabe! Gabe turned two last Wednesday. And now we'll be having babies fairly close together again. Small world. This looks like a wonderful way to celebrate and spend time together. What a fun trip. Soon you'll be taking four kids camping!
ReplyDeletei didn't know either! so cool :-)
DeleteLooks like a fun camping trip. I might have been a bit freaked out by the alligators. Were they near your campsite? (I'm obviously not used to southern wildlife :)
ReplyDeletethey like the water and there's no water real close to the campsite. there are snakes though :-)
DeleteHappy Birthday to your kiddos!! Wow, that looks like such an awesome time!! Loved the pictures - especially the alligators. Emma keeps thinking we have them here and telling our friends that there's one in our neighborhood?! (for some reason when she hears a woodpecker, she thinks that's what it is...) I'll have to show her your pictures...
