Welcome Fall

The night before the Autumnal Equinox the kids cut the grass. Fall for us means a lot of playing outside and the kids have been wanting to play soccer and softball in the backyard.

Today, the first day of fall, was spent mostly outside.

 Cleaning up.

 Bird watching.

Dragonfly love was in the air.

 Flowers were blooming.

And we found that the little bridge near the pond had been painted specifically for the Rainbow Warriors!

Back home, we checked in on our beans and colored some of the leaves we collected on our walk. Beans that were placed in the dark had no color while those placed in the sun turned green.

 The girls copied a poem.

I taught Lynni how to needle felt.

And hand sew to finish her necklace.

Lynni's mom bought the kids pretend money and so they set up a "harvest market."
