Happy Summer!

I have a billion pics so I think I need to post.

First of all, Happy Solstice! We have been crafting a lot lately.

We made a solstice banner.

 When left on their own, with no direction from me, the kids come up with some truly awesome creations.

 Umbrellas.

I added Mirek's picture to last year's summer collage.

 I got a litte cash for babysitting my niece Abby.

 I bought craft supplies!

We made rainbow comets from Twig and Toadstool.

Some suns.

 For our solstice tree!

Needle felting.

 We felted some awesome sun necklaces (I'll post a finished picture soon).

 And Eaden received a reply from NASA!

They did not address her demand that Pluto be reinstated, but they sent us some pretty cool stuff including an autographed picture of the crew from Space Shuttle Mission STS-135.

 And seeds flown in space!

Our friend Aidan came over. We weaved some more suns, felted a bit and then made some clay beads.

 It started to rain.

I have quite a few more solstice crafts lined up include more suns made from sticks found outside. I'm going to make a huge sun for our mantle. Also, I'm working on a sun wreath that I think is going to turn out great. It is exciting because it is my idea aka not Pinterest inspired.
